How it works

From checkout to your first selfie at the Hagia Sophia.

No paperwork. No printouts. No queue confusion. The PRIME Pass is designed to disappear into your phone and let the city do the talking.

The Istanbul PRIME Pass turns a city of long ticket lines and separate bookings into a single digital pass on your phone. You buy it online, your QR ticket lands in your inbox seconds later, and from your very first scan you walk straight into 78 included attractions — among them Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, the Basilica Cistern, Dolmabahçe Palace, Galata Tower and a panoramic Bosphorus cruise. There is nothing to print and nothing to pick up at a desk.

On top of the included attractions, the pass unlocks 22 premium add-ons — hammams, dinner cruises, airport transfers, guided day trips and more — bookable from the app at member prices reserved for pass holders. Everything lives in one place: your tickets, your map, your opening hours and your support team. The four steps below are all there is to it.

Step 01

Buy your pass online

Pick a duration that suits your trip. Pay securely with card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Klarna — no redirects, no clutter. Your QR ticket arrives by email seconds later.

Step 02

Download the PRIME Pass app

Install the official Istanbul Tourist Pass® companion app on iOS or Android. Sign in with the email used at checkout — your pass syncs automatically, even offline.

Step 03

Reserve add-ons & set your route

In the app, browse all 78 included attractions and 22 premium add-ons. Reserve time slots where required, build a daily plan, and check opening hours before you go.

Step 04

Visit & skip the line

Show your QR at the gate. The pass clock starts at first scan; from there it runs on consecutive calendar days. No printing required — your phone is the key.

Step 05

Enjoy — and tell us how it went

Real support, in Istanbul, in your language. Tap inside the app any time we are needed. After your trip, leave a rating — we read every one.

Durations & access

One pass. Your number of days.

Choose the pass length that matches your trip — 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 consecutive days. Prices start at €149 and the per-day rate drops the longer you stay, so a multi-day pass is the better value if you intend to see more than a couple of headline sights. The pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and only begins counting down once you scan it for the first time, which means you can buy now and travel later with total confidence.

A single pass

78 included attractions

Major landmarks, museums, observation decks and a Bosphorus cruise — all with skip-the-line entry.

Plus

23 premium add-ons

Hammams, dinner cruises, transfers and day trips, bookable in the app at pass-holder member prices.

For

1–7 consecutive days

The clock starts on your first scan; the rest of your days then run back to back.

Access across the included attractions works on a simple credit balance. Every pass duration carries a credit allowance that grows with its length, and each included attraction draws on that allowance behind the scenes. In practice you never handle credits at the gate — you just show your pass and walk in — but the system is why a longer pass lets you comfortably fit in more of the city. One pass covers the included attractions; you decide how many of them you want to reach in your days.

Premium add-ons sit alongside the included list. They are not part of the included credits, but as a pass holder you unlock member pricing on each one and can add them whenever you like during your trip — a sunset dinner cruise one evening, a traditional hammam the next, an airport transfer for your departure. Everything is arranged from the same app, so your whole itinerary stays in one place.

Good to know

The practical questions.

How do I receive my Istanbul PRIME Pass after buying? +
Your pass is delivered digitally. The moment your payment clears, a QR ticket is emailed to you and is ready to open on your phone — there is no physical card to collect and nothing to print.
Do I need the app, or can I use the pass without it? +
The official Istanbul PRIME Pass app is recommended for the smoothest experience — it holds your QR, your itinerary and offline opening hours. It is not strictly required: you can also manage your pass from any web browser using the link in your confirmation email.
How does pass access work across the included attractions? +
One pass covers the 78 included attractions. Each pass duration carries a credit balance that scales with its length, and each included attraction draws on that balance, so longer passes let you fit in more. You simply show your pass at the entrance and walk in — you do not pre-pay anything per attraction.
When does my pass start, and how long does it last? +
Your pass activates on its first scan, not at purchase. From that first scan it runs on consecutive calendar days (Istanbul time) for the duration you chose — anywhere from 1 to 7 days.
How do I skip the line at each attraction? +
At each included attraction you go to the pass or skip-the-ticket-line entrance and show your QR. There is no separate ticket booth queue — the pass is your ticket, so you head straight to the entry.
What does the pass cost? +
Passes run from €149 for 1 day up to €299 for 7 days, with longer durations costing less per day. A child pass is priced €10 below the adult pass, and children under 6 generally enter free.
