Discover the Art of Turkish Mosaic Lamps

Join a hands-on workshop and discover one of Istanbul’s most colorful traditional arts: Turkish mosaic lamp making. The experience begins with a short introduction to the history of mosaic lamps and their place in Turkish culture. With guidance from a skilled instructor, you create your own lamp step by step by placing the template and choosing from a wide selection of colorful stones and glass pieces. It is an enjoyable and relaxing activity, even for first-time participants.

During the workshop, guests are served Turkish tea or apple tea. After completing the design, your lamp remains at the gallery for the drying and finishing process. This experience offers a creative and cultural break during your time in Istanbul and is available at a special discounted rate with your Istanbul Tourist Pass®.

Good to know

Please arrive a few minutes early so the workshop can start on time.
The workshop takes place in Fatih. Please arrive at Hafız Omar Turkish Delight & Baklava, where you will be welcomed at the entrance.
Creating the mosaic lamp is part of the workshop; the finished lamp is optional, not included, and available for an additional fee of 20 Euros per piece.
All materials are provided, so you don’t need to bring anything extra.
The workshop is suitable for ages 6 and above; younger children should be accompanied by an adult.
Turkish tea or apple tea is included during the workshop.
Please let us know in advance if there is anything specific you would like us to know before the workshop.
Wear comfortable clothing, as you will be working with small glass pieces.
